Edu Reference Publishers Direct Inc (“EDU”) knows how important your privacy is to you. For these reasons, we have created the following privacy policy (The “Privacy Policy”) which illustrates our dedication to protecting your privacy and maintaining the trust you have placed in EDU.
This Privacy Policy is your assurance that EDU, including Management, Sales, Accounting, Warehouse and any other employees of EDU will maintain the confidentiality and privacy of any personal information you have entrusted to us.
What Personal Information does EDU Collect?
Actually, very little- most of the information we collect relates to institutions to which we market our products and services. In most cases, our customers and clientele are identified to us only with publicly available business related addresses and other associated information. In the rare case where personal information has been volunteered to us by an individual, we may use that information for the proper operation of EDU, including, but not limited to, record keeping, statistics, accounting, customer newsletters, and maintaining internal communications.
For What Purpose does EDU use and Retain Information?
EDU does not use personal information for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed and only for the fulfillment of the purposes for which is collected.
Will EDU Disclose my Personal Information to Third Parties?
EDU does not trade, sell or otherwise disclose its customer lists or any other personal information to third parties.
Is My Personal Information Secure?
EDU takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that your personal information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access and unauthorized disclosure. Among the steps taken to protect your information are:
• Premises Security
• Shredding of discarded information
• Locked file cabinets
• Internal password and security policies which ensure that only authorized staff an access your personal information, and
• Contractually obligating our employees to maintain the confidentiality of our customer lists.
Can I access my own Personal Information?
You may ask for access to any personal information we hold about you.
Is it safe to Communicate with EDU Electronically?
We have taken steps to maintain the security and integrity of our electronic systems. That being said, you should be aware that email is not a 100% secure medium, and you should be aware of this when you are contacting us and sending personal or confidential information.
Employment Inquiries
If you are applying to EDU for a job, we need to consider certain personal information submitted to us as part of our review process. We normally retain information from candidates after a decision has been made, unless you ask us not to retain the information. If we offer you a job, which you accept, the information will be retained in accordance with our privacy procedures for employee records.
Transaction Information
Information: When you use EDU Reference eStore to conduct a transaction, we collect information about each transaction, including the transaction amount, a description of the transaction, the names of the buyer and the type of payment being used (i.e. PO or Credit Card)
Information about your use of service- In order to protect you from fraud, phishing and other misconduct, we may collect information about your interaction with the service to help validate your identity or detect potentially fraudulent conduct. For example, in some circumstances we may try to determine service usage patterns so that we can try to detect and prevent unauthorized attempts to access your account (such as automated hacking attacks or the use of stolen user names and passwords) Any such information that we collect will only be used to detect and prevent fraud or other misconduct, unless you explicitly grant us permission to use in another manner.
Edu Reference Cookies- When you access the Edu Reference eStore web page we send one or more cookies (a small file containing a string of characters) to your computer to uniquely identify your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Please note that you will not be able to access EDU eStore if your cookies are disabeled.
LOG Information- When you use the EDU eStore our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
User Communication- When you send an email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your enquiries, respond to your requests and improve our service.
Accessing and Updating Personal Information
You can disable the EDU eStore by contacting us. If you do so your transaction history will no longer be viewable through the eStore. However, in order to meet our reporting and auditing obligations and to detect, deter s well as prevent fraud or other misconduct on our systems, the information will be retained on our systems. If you disable EDU eStore your personally identifiable information will not be used by Edu Reference or shared with third parties except for these purposes. We may delete these records over time if permitted or required by law.
Changes to this Policy
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any changes on this page. Each version of this policy will be identified at the top of the page with the effective date and we will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.

Our organization has designated an official who is responsible for receiving and responding to all information requests regarding our Privacy Policy or about your personal information under our care and control.
